Summary
In this paper the authors report the successful commercialisation of a spoilage detection technology using magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. MR relaxation processes are affected by the degree of bacterial spoilage in liquid nutritional products. Different organisms display different spoilage patterns in the same matrix. A customised user interface has been developed.
