Operating and maintenance experience with commercial/institutional ground-source heat pump systems.
Author(s) : MANCINI R., HEISS H. W., SINGH J. B.
Summary
Ground-source heat pump (GSHP) systems were first applied to commercial and institutional projects toward the latter half of the last decade. Many such projects exist in the varied climatic zones of North America. However, little is known about the performance, operating costs, and maintenance costs of such systems. This paper deals with operating and maintenance experience over a period spanning approximately seven years. Data were gathered by means of survey forms sent to owners/operators of these systems. The projects surveyed were all located in Ontario, Canada.
