Summary

IT IS GENERALLY THOUGHT THAT THE WATER COOLED CHILLER AND TOWER, WITH ITS SLIGHTLY LOWER FIRST COST AND LOWER CONDENSING TEMPERATURE, WILL HAVE A LOWER OWNING COST. HOWEVER, THE POWER TAKEN BY THE CONDENSING WATER PUMP, THE COST OF WATER AND THE HIGHER MAINTENANCE COSTS FOR THE TOWER MAY SHOW THE AIR COOLED UNIT TO BE CHEAPER. A.R.T.
