Summary
Studies and tests on various manganese chloride-ammonia reaction refrigerating machines have identified different problems, as well as solutions for improving operation and energy performances. The proposed system makes use of a new patented superposed heat pipe, which helps limit the interactive masses of the reactor, increasing the regeneration output from 62 to 85% and decreasing precooling and cooling times of the reactor.
