Optimization of the structure parameters of automobile heat exchanger louvered-fin by CFD.

Summary

In this investigation, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is used to numerically simulate the influence of the structure parameters of a typical heat exchanger louvered-fin on the heat-exchange capability. The general-purpose CFD package FLUENT is used to perform the numerical simulation. After CFD analysis, the optimized structure parameters are found. Compared to the results by CFD and by experimental formula calculation with experimental measured data respectively, it is conclusion that CFD results are more in correspondence with the measured data and have enough precision in engineering calculation.
