Performance analysis of an office space HVAC system: a case study.

Author(s) : ADHIKARY P., IQBAL F., SADRI R., et al.

Summary

The method of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was used to study the indoor air flow field in an Office Space - air-conditioned areas. Numerical experiments were performed in six test sites of different sizes and ventilation configurations. Typical mechanical HVAC systems were installed in those sites so that the evaluation of results of the system performance would be useful for assessing other similar systems. The predicted results were analyzed and compared with project data. More importantly, the potential use of the predicted results was illustrated. Good agreement was found between the simulated results and obtained project site data.
