PERFORMANCE OF SOLAR OPERATED DUAL-STAGE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS WITH R21-DMF AS WORKING FLUID.

Summary

THE ABSORPTION CYCLE AND THE RESORBER-DESORBER CYCLE ARE INTEGRATED IN A SIMPLE SYSTEM AND SIMULATED BY A COMPUTER. THE OPERATING PARAMETERS ARE AS FOLLOWS: EVAPORATION TEMPERATURE 253 TO 283 K (-20 TO 10 DEG C), CONDENSATION TEMPERATURE 293 TO 318 K (20 TO 45 DEG C)AND THE CONCENTRATION ACROSS THE GENERATOR AND RESORBER, DX (0.005 TO 0.1). THE CALCULATION SHOWS THAT THE COP OF THE TWO-STAGE SYSTEM RANGES BETWEEN 1.5 AND 6.0 WITHIN THE PARAMETERS STUDIED, MEANING A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT. A MARKED ADVANTAGE IS THAT THE COP IS LITTLE SENSITIVE TO THE CHANGES IN CONDENSATION TEMPERATURE. THE INCREASE IN DX REDUCES THE WORK OF THE PUMP AND THE COP AND IT INCREASES THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE GENERATOR AND THE RESORBER.
