Summary
This paper presents the simulation and economic evaluation of a solar assisted double-effect LiBr-H2O absorption system. Solar energy together with water vapour from the high-pressure generator supplies energy to the low-pressure generator for a double effect absorption system. Simulation results illustrate that this kind of system is feasible and economic for refrigeration in summer, space heating in winter, and hot tap water.
