Performance of some mixtures as working fluids for high-temperature heat pump applications.

Summary

The performance of a heat pump with four hydrocarbon and HFC mixtures have been analyzed, for a condensing temperature range of 60 to 140 °C. The results show that the diverse requirements of high COP and high volumetric heating capacity, low pressure ratio and compressor outlet temperature can be obtained with appropriate zeotropic mixtures, even at high condensing temperatures.
