Performances of refrigerant ejectors: present status.

Summary
Among the numerous papers devoted to cooling systems using an ejector, differences appear in the choice of the main parameters (dimensional, adimensional), moreover their effects may be contradictory. Based on the extensive analysis of previous works, this paper is an attempt to demonstrate the governing parameters. Following an unified approach four adimensional ratios are introduced: U for entrainment, r for compression, xi for monitoring, phi for geometry. In this adimensional space universal maxima are demonstrated, permitting optimal design of the system with respect to source temperatures.
