Summary

Feijoa is the fruit of the sub-tropical myrtacea Feijoa sellowiana Berg, native to South America (Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina). From this area, it spread to other continents with its success depending on sales promotion. Fruit from the 1995 picking season were taken out of the cold room after 7 weeks at 3 deg C with a relative humidity of 85-90%. The authors detail the results of this test.
