THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE TESTING OF A MACHINE FOR USING THE HEAT RECOVERED FROM AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS OR A GEOTHERMAL SITE AND FOR PROVIDING COLLECTIVE HEATING OR INDUSTRIAL DRYING, AT AVERAGE AND AT LARGE CAPACITIES, UP TO 1 MW. THE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT ON R114 AND ON WATER VAPOUR AND ESTABLISHED THE POSSIBILITY OF 5 OR 6 STAGES OF WATER VAPOUR COMPRESSION BETWEEN 423 AND 493 K (150 AND 220 DEG C) AT THE MW LEVEL. THE AUTHORS GIVE THE DIAGRAM, THE VARIOUS OPERATING MODES AND DRAW CONCLUSIONS ON THE TECHNOLOGY OF CIRCUITS, OF CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSORS AND THEIR DRIVE, OF STRUCTURES AND THE GENERAL ARRANGEMENT.
