Summary

A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF COSTS WAS CARRIED OUT IN CASE OF COOLING WITH A LIQUID USING OPEN VATS (ICE BANK) AND CLOSED COOLING SYSTEM WITHOUT ACCUMULATION OF COOLING ENERGY. IT CAN BE STATED THAT THOUGH COSTS OF AMORTIZATION ARE HIGHER IN CASE OF THE SYSTEM WITH ACCUMULATION BUT OPERATION COSTS ARE SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER THAN THOSE OF THE OTHER SYSTEM, RESULTING IN ENERGY SAVING ; ANOTHER ADVANTAGE IS A MORE RELIABLE OPERATION (ESPECIALLY IN CASE OF THE POSTPONEMENT OF MILK PROCESSING).
