Summary

THE PROPOSED SYSTEM CONSISTS OF 2 WATER-COOLED MTK 20 TYPE MACHINES AND AN ICE BANK, WHICH REDUCES MACHINE REQUIREMENTS AND USES THE PRESENT TRANSFORMER STATION. THE ICE BANK IS ISOLATED SO THAT IN WINTER THE NATURAL COLD MAY BE USED WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COOLING. FLOW SHEET OF THE ARRANGEMENT IS INCLUDED. THE EQUIPMENT RESULTED IN CONSIDERABLE ECONOMY, AND MILK IS COOLED FROM 303-308 TO 279-277 K (30-35 TO 6-4 DEG C).
