Summary

The food and pharmaceutical industries are significant consumers of thermal and electrical energy. Thermal energy is usually generated by the company's own power plants, while electrical energy is purchased from the power distribution network. A more efficient utilization of energy may be achieved by installing cogeneration processes that use natural gas as a fuel, taking into consideration the most recent power generation legislation in force.
