Presentation of measurements on a new thermal propulsed solution pump for ammonia-water heat pumps.

Author(s) : HINCKE P., STEIMLE F.

Summary

A new pumping principle has been developed in order to prove that actuation based on thermal propulsion is possible and practically applicable. The process corresponds to the working principle of a pulsometer but is different because of vapour used as the working medium is generated by itself. Measurements on a first prototype built by Colibri/Rendamax and tested by the department of thermodynamics of the University of Essen are demonstrating that it principally works.
