Production and storage of stone fruits in Hungary.

Author(s) : KISS Z. L.

Summary

The storing of fruit in Hungary has declined, in part because of the strong drop in living standards and in part because of the crisis in agricultural production. Essentially, only apples and pears are stored. It appears that next year's agricultural production will stabilise. This trend may have a positive impact on the consumption of stone fruits and, as a consequence, on their storage.
