Prospects for applications of high-critical temperature superconductors.

Author(s) : TANAKA S.

Summary

In ten years of short history in research and development of high-critical temperature superconductors, the material technology on these difficult materials made quick and big progress and the directions of research and developments in wide range of applications are becoming clear. At present these directions are classified into three categories: development of high-quality superconducting wires and tapes; development of large bulk superconductors having high critical currents; development of new superconducting electronic devices.
