Raspberries: harvesting and storage.
Framboise : récolte et conservation.
Author(s) : TILLARD S.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Raspberries are fragile fruit and can be kept for only a few days following harvesting. If picked too early, raspberries are difficult to remove from stalks. If picked too late, raspberries are easily crushed, and the juice released readily becomes mouldy. Care taken in packaging and in implementing cold storage fast are vital in order to ensure that quality is maintained up to and during retail sale.
