IIR document
Re-designing production and distribution chains in agribusiness.
Author(s) : SIMONS A. E.
Summary
Agribusiness production and distribution chains consist of a large number of activities, executed by various links. Total chain performance determines the success of the individual links. Because of the multilink characteristics, the design and development of new chains is a difficult problem. This is particularly the case where product quality and its keeping quality are concerned. The paper deals with a project dedicated to the re-design of production and distribution chains for perishable products.
