Recent developments in zero ODP blowing agents for rigid polyurethane foams.
Author(s) : ROUX J. D., ALBOUY A., MURPHY J., COSTA J.
Summary
The choice of zero ODP substitute to R141b is still open. Many candidates look to be very promizing. Recent developments make the authors believe that perfluorobutylethylene can be considered as one of those attractive molecules. Since it is non flammable, it has a low acute toxicity and leads to foam properties comparable to those obtained with R141b.
