Recent progresses of R&D and applications of PCMs and slurries in China.

Summary
Phase change materials (PCMs) and phase change material slurries (PCS) have attracted intensive attention in many applications in recent years because they are very promising and useful for energy storage and conservation, temperature control, thermal comfort improving and etc. In recent years, many researches and developments on PCMs and PCS have been conducted, and meanwhile, the applications of PCMs and PCS to such fields as building energy saving, temperature management of electronic devices, smart textile and so on are becoming focuses as well. This paper reviews recent progresses of R&D and applications of PCMs and PCS in China over the last ten years. The emphases are put on the material fabrication, thermal properties determination, heat transfer enhancement, energy storage unit design and so on. Some examples of the applications of PCMs and PCS are presented and discussed as well.
