Summary

THE USE OF NEWLY DEVELOPED TUBES ENABLES ONE TO COMPENSATE THE MEDIOCRE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF THE HALOGENS. THE TUBES FOR FLOODED EXCHANGERS HAVE AN OUTER STRUCTURE WITH INSET CAVITIES AND HELICOIDAL FINS INSIDE. THE TUBES FOR DRY EXPANSION EVAPORATORS HAVE HELICOIDAL GROOVES INSIDE AND A SMOOTH EXTERNAL SURFACE (I/R TUBE) OR A PYRAMIDAL STRUCTURE (S/R TUBE). THE IMPROVEMENTS OBTAINED ARE PRESENTED IN THE FORM OF DIAGRAMS. REVERSIBLE EXCHANGERS ARE COMPOSED OF INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY CORRUGATED TUBES COILED IN THE FORM OF JOINTED SPIRALS. J.L.
