Summary

CONVENTIONAL SYSTEMS FOR SPACE HEATING SHOW CONSIDERABLE THERMODYNAMIC LOSSES. SPACE HEATING WITH A HEAT PUMP COULD USE ONLY HALF AS MUCH PRIMARY ENERGY. BECAUSE CENTRAL POWER PRODUCTION IS MORE AND MORE EFFICIENT, THERE ARE NOW BETTER CHANCES FOR ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN HEAT PUMPS. OF ALL CHOICES, THE ELECTRICALLY-DRIVEN HEAT PUMP IS, FROM A TECHNICAL POINT OF VIEW, THE SIMPLEST OPTION. THE NETHERLANDS' MARKETFAVOURS NATURAL GAS-FIRED HEAT PUMPS, HOWEVER.
