Summary

The theme addresses hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) mainly R22, R141b, R123 which prove to be at a global meeting point uniting international climate change agreements: Montreal Protocol (1987) and Kyoto Protocol (1997). Primary topics discussed are the identification of alternative solutions pertaining to ozone layer formation and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
