Summary
PRINCIPLES OF WHOLESOME NUTRITION GRADUALLY INCREASE THE SHARE OF PERISHABLE FRESH PRODUCTS. THIS HOWEVER BRINGS EVER INCREASING RISK OF NUTRIENT MASS AND QUALITY LOSS. FOR THIS PURPOSE THE REFRIGERATING CHAIN HAS BEEN FORMED. IT MUST BE REALLY COMPLETE AND CONTAIN ALL LINKS, AND NECESSARY CONDITIONS FOR ITS PROPER FUNCTIONING MUST BE SAFEGUARDED. POSSIBLE KINDS OF LOSSES AND CONDITIONS OF A PROPER FUNCTION OF THE REFRIGERATING CHAIN ARE INDICATED. TO FULFILL THESE REQUIREMENTS, THE REFRIGERATING CHAIN HAS BEEN BUILT UP IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA SINCE WORLD WAR II AND ITS PERFECTIONING STILL CONTINUES. MAIN TRENDS OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ARE NAMED.
