2 OF 3 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS IN NORWAY ARE AIR CONDITIONED. NEARLY ALL INSTALLATIONS USE STANDARD AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT, RANGING FROM WINDOW UNITS TO LARGE CHILLERS. AIR COOLED CONDENSING UNITS TOGETHER WITH DIRECT EXPANSION COILS IN AIR HANDLING UNITS ARE WIDELY USED IN SMALL INSTALLATIONS. FOR LARGER BUILDINGS MAINLY CHILLED WATER SYSTEMS ARE USED. SYSTEMS USED ONLY DURING THE WARM SEASON INSTALL AIR COOLED CONDENSERS OR WATER COOLED WITH COOLING TOWERS. FOR HEAT REGAIN WATER COOLED CONDENSERS COMBINED WITH DRY COOLERS ARE POPULAR SYSTEMS. COMPUTER ROOMS: SMALL ROOMS USE STANDARD AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT, LARGE COMPUTER INSTALLATIONS USE SPECIAL COMPUTER COOLING EQUIPMENT MOSTLY WITH CHILLED WATER COILS.
