Summary
The results show that the amount of energy consumed by the production of cold varies greatly from one sector to another. The share of the consumption of energy for the production of cold is given for each sector and for various fluids. Ammonia is the fluid most often used to meet refrigeration needs in manufacturing, while R22 is most common in air conditioning.
