Compatibility study of compressor and refrigeration system materials for HCFC alternative refrigerants.

Summary
HFC-134a, HFC-32, HFC-125 and their blends such as R407C and R410A are being considered to be promising HCFC alternative refrigerants. In accordance with these studies, hermetic motor materials in compressors and refrigeration system materials have been examined for compatibility and chemical stability with R410A and polyolester-based refrigeration lubricants. The results show that durable reliability of the R410A 2-cylinder rotary compressor has been obtained by using new materials which are suitable for alternative process materials.
