Reliable heat capacity values of saturated vapor for HFC refrigerants.

Author(s) : NARUKAWA K., SATO H.

Summary

Various equations of state with high reliability are reported for HFCs based on experimental data. For the reason, however, that measurements near saturation at low temperatures are missing, there are differences up to 7% among the heat capacity values calculated from different existing equations of state in the gaseous phase near the saturation line. It is important to determine reliable heat capacity values. In the paper, regarding R32, R125, R134a and R143a, are discussed virial equations of state that can represent the rational behaviour of the heat capacity from a physical viewpoint, based on highly accurate speed-of-sound measurements and on theoretically calculated virial coefficients.
