Requirements in terms of filter-dehydrator, sight glasses and thermostatic expansion valves, when using new refrigerants.
Nye kølemedier kraever redesign af tørrefiltre og skueglas.
Author(s) : BROESBY-OLSEN F.
Summary
An overly high humidity level in refrigerating plants has always caused problems. Thermodynamically observed by ice formation in critical spots, it decreases refrigeration. It is chemically seen as "the root of all evils" in a refrigerating plant. The HFC refrigerants are generally exceptionally stable and in particular the polyolester oils are outstanding lubricants in refrigerating plants with HFC mediums. The author recommends to "just keep the head cool and the plant dry" until time solves the hydrolysis problems.
