A SERIES OF EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES WAS PERFORMED TO LEARN ABOUT THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF FREEZING ONVARIOUS TISSUES, SUCH AS SKIN, MUCOSA, BLOOD VESSELS, NERVES, CARTILAGE AND BONE. THESE WERE OBSERVED CLINICALLY AND HISTOLOGICALLY AFTER FREEZING.
