Summary

The core quality in nuts was the highest (97% of the production meant for sale) when the fruit at harvesting had a pericarp split of 15 mm. A quick removal of the pericarp, followed by leaching and drying, produces part with high market quality. Storage of nuts for 12-17 months is most efficient with mechanical ventilation at 8-10 deg C and relative humidity of 60-65%.
