Research on the thermal expansion characteristics of nonflammable phenolic foam insulation material.

Summary

Three findings emerge from these data are found: the thermal expansibilities in three directions are different, expansibility has an unidirectional feature (it is not recovered after the temperature rises to a certain value) and the expansibility of materials with different densities differs. The authors analyze the phenomena and put forward some proposals to improve the properties of this material in this application.
