Summary
The survey undertaken in a laboratory studied the analysis of the thermal performance of a refrigerating machine tested with the following fluids: R22, R134A, R404A and R407C. It includes: comparison of thermal performance under the same operating conditions; analysis of the behaviour of the two-phase heat transfer coefficient as a function of the mass flow rate and the heat flux. These results demonstrate that we are still a long way from finding a real substitute for R22.
