Summary

Effects of the concentration of inoculum bacteria, of the storage temperature of inoculum (4 or -20 deg C) and of the preincubation storage temperature of the inoculum (30 or 14 deg C) on the growth rate at 14 deg C of two strains of Listeria monocytogenes (Scott A and V7) and of a strain of L. innocua (Lin 11). These parameters affect the growth rates of these strains. Two distinct growth phases were observed.
