Type of article: Article
Summary
Rat blastocyts were vitrified using a solution containing 18.5% DMSO, 14.0% acetamide, 9.0% propylene glycol and 5.4% polyethylene glycol. The embryos were vitrified by two methods. There was no significant difference between the two methods in post-thaw development of the vitrified embryos. The diluents containing sucrose and glycerol were shown to be favourable for removing cryoprotectants from the frozen-thawed embryos.
