Summary
The technology for the use of ammonia, also in smaller refrigeration systems, is actually at hand. A more extensive use of ammonia also in refrigeration systems with lower output depends on a number of factors. The paper gives an introduction to some new development possibilities for smaller ammonia refrigeration systems, i.e. especially the choice of materials, the possible joining techniques and the heat exchangers will be dealt with. Also some of the present Danish projects are introduced.
