SOLAR HEATAND COOLING WATER FROM HEAT ENGINES ARE USED AS THE HEAT SOURCE FOR AN ABSORPTION CHILLER-HEATER WHICH CAN PRODUCE WATER AT A TEMPERATURE OF AROUND 363 K (90 DEG C). HOWEVER, THERE IS ONLY LITTLE OPERATIONAL DATA ON SOLAR ENERGY AS A HEAT SOURCE. THE PAPER PROVIDES THIS DATA. A DESCRIPTION IS GIVEN OF AN ABSORPTION CABIN AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION FOR A LARGE SHIP.
