Solid-sorption gas heat pump technology.

Summary

The principle and operation of a cold-production system using the sorption phenomenon between a gas and a solid are described. This phenomenon happens in both directions, with heat radiation or absorption. One pair of well-functioning interactive bodies is active charcoal and ammonia. The whole includes several exchangers linked by necessary ducts working in parallel, and shifted in time, in order to ensure a regular supply of the condenser and a regular aspiration on the evaporator. Applications of this system are evoked, with its advantages, drawbacks and performances.
