Summary
WORKING FLUID STABILITY DEPENDS ON THE MATERIAL PURITY WITH WHICH IT COMES INTO CONTACT AND ON THE TEMPERATURE FIELD. WITH NEW EXPENSIVE WORKING FLUIDS, A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF THEIR STABILITY IS ESSENTIAL. THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDY HAS TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR EACH SPECIFIC SITUATION. A SIMPLE AND RAPID TEST WAS DEVELOPED IN THE LABORATORY. THE EQUIPMENT AND METHOD ARE DESCRIBED. RESULTS ARE PRESENTED IN THE CASE OF FLUIDS WITH R22 AND VARIOUS ABSORBENTS, WITH OR WITHOUT A STABILIZING AGENT.
