Summary

This article is the Spanish translation of a review article presented in the Bulletin of the IIR (See this Bulletin, reference 2006-0450). Although the use of carbon dioxide in automobile air conditioning is expanding fast, driven by environmental concerns, its use in low-temperature delivery vehicles began very recently and significant benefits are emerging.
