STEADY STATE MODELLING OF ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS WITH A COMPARISON TO EXPERIMENTS.

Summary

THE MODEL IS BASED ON DETAILED MASS AND ENERGY BALANCES AND HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER RELATIONSHIPS FOR COMPONENTS OF THE CYCLE AND IS APPLIED TO A PROTOTYPE ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP AND COMPARED WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA. THE QUALITATIVE BEHAVIOUR OF THE SIMULATED COP AND SYSTEM TEMPERATURES, COMPOSITIONS, AND HEAT FLOWS GENERALLY AGREES WITH EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS.
