Summary
Fruits of the plum cultivars Opal and Victoria were picked when not fully ripe or when ripe enough for market and stored in cold storage at 1 deg C in 21% O2 and 10% CO2, for up to 28 days, after which they were held at 18 deg C for up to 4 days. The best results were obtained in controlled atmosphere storage in 2% O2 and 5% CO2; fruits could be stored for up to 3 weeks.
