Summary

THE AUTHORS COMPARED THE VARIOUS STORAGE PROCESSES OF SEVERAL PRODUCTS: HOPS, PRESSED HOPS, HOP BALLS, HOP EXTRACTS. THESE PRODUCTS WERE STORED EITHER IN A COLD STORE OR AT THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE AND THE STORAGE SUITABILITY CHECKED BY ANALYSES AND INBEERS. THE AUTHORS DETAIL THE CONDITIONS OF THE STUDY, ITS ACHIEVEMENT AND THE RESULTS, FROM WHICH IT APPEARS THAT HOPS SHOULD BE PRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER HARVESTING AND STORED UNDER REFRIGERATION, PREFERENTLY IN AN INERT ATMOSPHERE AND THAT THE MANUFACTURE OF HOP PRODUCTS, MAINLY AS EXTRACTS, MUST INCREASE IN THE FUTURE.
