THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE FREEZING PROCESSES, EFFECTS OF THE FREEZING RATE AND CRYOPROTECTANT ON THE VIABILITY OF BONE MARROW CELLS AND THE RESULTS OF TRANSPLANTING CRYOPRESERVED BONE MARROW CELLS. AFTER THAWING HUMAN BONE MARROW, THE AVERAGE RECOVERY IS ABOUT 68.5 MORE OR LESS 9.27%. CRYOPRESERVED AUTOLOGOUS BONE MARROW IS USEFUL FOR HEMATOPOIETIC RECONSTITUTION FOR PATIENTS WITH CANCERS AND LEUKAEMIA TREATED BY INTENSIVE CHEMIOTHERAPY OR RADIOTHERAPY. SOME PROBLEMS OF CRYOFREEZING TECHNIQUES AND CLINICAL APPLICATIONS ARE ANALYZED AND DISCUSSED.
