Summary
Mature fruits of mango cv. Amrapali were harvested and treated with gibberellic acid at 50 ppm, bavistin [carbendazim] at 500 ppm, or 200 gauge perforated polyethylene (20% vent) bag (alone or in combinations) and kept under ambient temperature conditions. On the eleventh day of storage, weight loss was maximum (18.53%) under the control and minimum (7.48%) in gibberellic acid + polyethylene bag treatment. Fruits treated with gibberellic acid + perforated polyethylene bag had the lowest acidity (39.84%) and highest total soluble solids (22.15%).
