Summary

FRUITS OF 16 STRAWBERRY CULTIVARS AND TWO CLONES OF POLISH BREEDING WERE EVALUATED FOR SUITABILITY FOR FREEZING. SENGA SENGANA WAS USED AS STANDARD. THE INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT THE QUALITY OF THE FROZEN FRUITS OF MOST CULTIVARS WAS DIFFERENT IN DIFFERENT YEARS AND DEPENDED ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIN. FROZEN FRUITS OF SENGA SENGANA, SENGA TIGAJGA AND FRAGINETTA CVS RECEIVED HIGHEST RATINGS BUT AGROTECHNICAL VALUE OF THE TWO LAST CULTIVARS WAS VERY LOW. THE AUTHORS CONCLUDE THAT NONE OF THE CULTIVARS IS EQUAL TO SENGA SENGANA.
