The broader application of HACCP concepts to food quality in Australia.
Author(s) : PETERS R. E.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Two key voluntary third party certified standards focused on using the HACCP principles for both quality and food safety were developed in Australia in 1995. SQF 2000 and Woolworths Vendor Quality Management Standard (WVQMS) represent a practical, customer focused business enhancement program that combines food safety and quality into a simple yet effective process. It has been successfully demonstrated in Australia that this style of progress can be introduced to very small businesss (single person operations, family businesses and small enterprises) as well as to very large integrated operations.
