Summary

THE REDUCTION OF THE LOSS RATE IN THE CHILLED GOODS LAND TRANS PORT OF FRUIT, VEGETABLES AND POTATOES AND THE CONTINUOUSLY GROWING SIGNIFICANCE OF CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE STORAGE IN COLD STORES HAVE RESULTED IN THE FACT THAT SUCH STORAGE CONDITIONS ARE ALSO DESIRED IN REFRIGERATEDVEHICLE. IT IS EVIDENT THAT IN THE CHILLED GOODS TRANSPORT ON ROADS AND BY RAIL IT WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE-LIKE STORAGE CONDITIONS IN TERMS OF ENERGY AND ECONOMY TO BE CREATED ONLY BY THE REDUCTION OF THE AIR RENEWAL RATE IN THE LOADING SPACE. MODERN REFRIGERATED VEHICLES OF SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION PROVIDE THE TECHNICAL CONDITIONS.
